Becks Davis I don’t have any witty banter, weird facts, or weather reports today. Today, I just give you some cool things to do in Detroit this weekend. I felt kind of bad, though, so I included a few more photos from my trip up north last weekend.
The mighty Mackinac Bridge as seen from the Upper Peninsula.

I will be at the People's Art's Festival again this year, but another event to add on is the March for Jobs, Justice, and Peace going on this Saturday. 10:30 am, gathered at 151 W. Jefferson, at the UAW National Programs center. More info pasted below..
Join Rev. Jesse Jackson, a coalition of organizations, and union, community, religious, and political leaders are we march to demand real change for working families and all America.
This march on August 28 will also commemorate Detroit's 1963 Walk to Freedom lead by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. At the Walk to Freedom, King delivered his "I have a Dream" speech for the first time before sharing it with the world later that summer at the March on Washington.
WHY WE MARCH
It's time to enact real change for working families and all America. We are calling on our national leaders to rebuild America by focusing on:
JOBS - economic reconstruction driven by targeted stimulus, reindustrialization and trade policy that will create jobs, support manufacturing in America, and put workers first.
JUSTICE - enforcement of the law regarding workers' rights, civil rights, industrial regulation, and creation of strong urban policy, and fair and just education, economic, and health policy.
PEACE - ending the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, saving lives and redirecting the war budget to rebuilding America.
Looking forward to seeing The Sights on Belle Isle this weekend!
