Tell your Detroit Story with Google Search

I found this video the other day and fell in love with it. It’s made with the new Google Search Stories Video Creator. Do you remember the Google Super Bowl ad about the Parisian love story? It’s a tool that allows us to create our own stories, similar to that ad, through search.

I started making my first search story and I did what anyone else would do. I kind of Googled myself in this new way. Narcissistic, yes, but still cool.

Then I thought about what else could be done with this new tool. Earlier in the week at Tweetea we were sharing some of our favorite places. So, I made this video of some of my favorite places in Detroit.

Yes, I started to get a bit carried away.

The Search Stories Video Creator is about sharing our own stories. So, I thought I should actually make one that told a story.

What if we all shared our favorite places in Detroit? Or told our own Detroit stories through search?

I want to know your favorite places in Detroit. I want to know your Detroit story. Tell a story or share your favorites or both using the Google Search Stories Video Creator.

Tag them in the description with Detroit and Detroit Moxie (put a link in the comments too as I’m not having much luck with their search function). I’ll look through them all and share my favorites in a future post.

So that looks like it could be a little addictive

I took it out for a test drive and came up with this first effort

I'll have to play with it a bit more later...

What was funny was seeing two of my photos show up on the Motown Museum images page!

Sorry for the delayed response, FutureMidwest took up all of my time the last two days.

Dominique,
Love it! Thanks for trying it out. It's cool to see what top 5 or so places people pick. Yeah, I saw my photos come up for the Spirit of Detroit and the Belle Isle Ice tree. How cool is that!

Nick,
Thanks! I'm so glad you liked that one. :) And I just had to put my cat before my husband!
