Detroit Moxie's Weekend Roundup

What's going on in and around Detroit this week? Here are a few options:

1. Ferndale Pub Crawl - Over 1,600 people are expected to take part in this event featuring 24 stops. $10 admission with proceeds going to charity. July 31.

2. St. Andrew's Society of Detroit presents the Highland Games - The 160th Highland Games will take place at Greenmead Historical Park in Livonia, MI. July 30-August 1st.

3. 15th Annual Vans Warped Tour - This "punk" event takes place in the Comerica Park parking lot. July 31.

4. The Buick Open in Grand Blanc, MI - Tiger Woods makes his ninth appearance at the Open. July 30-August 2nd.

5. Buy Michigan Now Festival - this event in downtown Northville continues through the weekend. My post, Actions Speak Louder Than Words, offers some tips on buying locally. Through August 2nd.

If you know of an event that's happening this weekend that isn't on the list, share it with us and leave the information in the comments.

Enjoy your weekend!

It was interesting and I should have gotten pictures of the crowd but I thought it would have been to obvious.
